More Olympus E-P1 functions
The Olympus digital camera comes with even more functions. Some of them are even unique to Olympus. Among which are:
• Sound Recording. You can now capture all the nuances of the sounds you’ll record. The system is extremely capable of recording and playing back WAV files. You can even add professional-sounding narration or your own voice to digital slide shows.
• Background Music. There are also five separate background music files to choose from. Just see which one you like best and add that to your still images or video productions.
• SDHC media cards. The E-P1 is highly capable of recording video to SDHC media cards to accommodate even large files. Recommended are SDHC Class 6 cards. Videos, stills, and high-fidelity audio can also be uploaded via the HDMI cable-direct. Watch your work on any HD television.
• Full manual control. You are given the power to control all programs and functions, including Aperture and Shutter Speed Priority. The ability to decide and design is right at your fingertips. It’s all up to you when or where you want to use it. Full automatic control is also available with just the press of a button.
• Live Control. This is an advanced camera management system that allows you to see the image being shot and the camera’s controls all at once. Just look at the bright, colorful, high definition 3-inch HyperCrystal LCD. The LCD offers many times the contrast of conventional LCD monitors, and also provides you with a wide viewing angle of 176 degrees.
Some Olympus E-P1 functions
The Olympus digital camera comes with functions not present in other brands. Among which are:
• Face Detection. This function reduces the chance of blurry faces when shooting in big groups. You can even have as much as eight subjects at once. You can take vivid shots even when all of them are moving while you’re pressing the shutter button.
• Shadow Adjustment Technology. This corrects pictures during extreme light variations with high-tech efficiency. It can also be used when you edit the shot later on.
• Aspect Ratios. You have four Aspect Ratios to choose from to help frame your images to whatever proportions you’d like, whether it is from conventional enlargements to viewing on widescreen monitors.
• iAuto. This identifies your shooting intent (such as macro or action photography) and instantly adjusts the camera settings to achieve the best results.
• Slideshows. They are more fun to create when you know that the camera comes with enhanced playback functions. You can effectively employ fade-in/fade-out techniques, add captivating musical soundtracks, and so much more.
• Ultra-Compact Body. It is a high-tech optical engineering in one small camera. It only weighs 11.8 ounces and measures just 4.75” (W) x 2.75” (H) x 1.43 (D). Handy, easy to carry and compact!
• M. ZUIKO lenses. These lenses are small, lightweight, powerful, and engineered to be accurate.
• Four Thirds System Lens Adapter. Other Four Thirds Format lenses can also be used on as long as they have an available MMF-1 Four Thirds System Lens Adapter. You can even use those that use the extreme wide-angle fisheye and super-telephoto lenses. You’ll have an endless number of artistic options with this benefit.
